This 6 week Nuke 2D Compositing course is a very thorough course covering all aspects of Nuke’s 2D visual effects compositing including keying, color correcting, image transformations, rotoscoping, CGI compositing, clip retiming, tracking and image warping. You will learn all five of Nuke keyers and how to create excellent bluescreen and greenscreen composites. You will master color correcting and learn how to rotoscope with Nuke. Each week you will gain access to about 2 hours of Steve Wright’s award-winning tutorials, do the reading assignments in the Nuke Manual and Steve’s book Digital Compositing for Film and Video (4th edition), and a Nuke exercise file to apply what you have learned that week to real world problems.

Transition Training Made Easy!

After 15 years of creating 3D environments for AAA video games, I was ready for a career change and Steve Wright’s Nuke courses helped me to make the leap into film compositing. Steve did a great job as an online instructor, and his courses are full of information and helpful feedback. I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone wanting to learn Nuke.

Pushed Me to Next Level!

Steve is an awesome teacher that has pushed me to a next level! One of the best things about Steve’s course is that at the end of the week he gives you exercises that are different from the ones you learn in class which really pushes you to use the techniques learned in class to figure them out.

A Great Investment in My Skillset!

Although I had some experience with Nuke, I wanted to finally learn proper compositing fundamentals and create a sound foundation for my compositing career. I had been reading books and they were helpful, but what I really was interested in was one on one mentoring with a compositing pro. Working with Steve was a joy and I learned exactly what I had set out to and more. The sessions were invaluable and well worth the investment in my skill set.  If you are serious about starting your career in VFX or are simply stuck on certain concepts, I highly recommend his services.

Upped My Nuke Game!

I wanted to thank the team at Steve Wright’s FXEcademy for such a great experience and great content. As a student, the training gave me an advantage when using Nuke, enabling me to explore advance concepts because of my solid understanding of the fundamentals of Nuke. Highly recommended course, it is a great investment.
