Use either a point or planar tracker to track this easy nodal pan clip then key the sky, comp in the moonlight clip, and add several lighting effects of your own design. Having a few animated elements will help “sell” your day for night treatment along with some nightly color correction. Also be sure to blend your lighting effects with the clip by layering the railings or other content over your lighting to integrate the whole. The main clip was shot with a Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5K and output as ProRes 422 HQ, a super high quality 10 bit format, then converted to 10 bit dpx files for visual effects. The moonlight sky is a 35mm clip converted to 10 bit dpx log files.
